Most creative problems aren't solved by better advice, but by better understanding.
Writers get stuck not because they lack ability or commitment, but because they're trying to answer the wrong question — or because the work is asking for something they haven't yet been willing to hear.
This site brings together several things. My published fiction, beginning with Before I Go to Sleep. My thinking about creative work and the particular difficulties it creates. And a serious, focused practice working one-to-one with writers at pivotal moments in their projects — including writers preparing to submit.
